is an artist, researcher, book designer, copyeditor, curatorial assistant (CONTACT Photography Festival), and photographic collections specialist living in Toronto/Tkaranto, Canada. His artwork examines time, transformation, transitional space, affect, discomfort, queerness, queer representation, gender, and the body.
sol holds a diploma in Fine Art, Victoria College of Art, Victoria (BC); a BFA, Photography Major, NSCAD University, Halifax (NS); and an MA, Photographic Preservation and Collections Management, Ryerson University, Toronto. His work has been exhibited in Victoria, Halifax, Dawson City (Yukon), and Toronto. _______ I wish to acknowledge this land on which I live and work. For thousands of years it has been the traditional land of the Huron-Wendat, the Seneca, and most recently, the Mississaugas of the Credit River. Today, this meeting place is still the home to many Indigenous people from across Turtle Island and I am grateful and privileged to be on this land.
